From the artist: “I was going for a kind of energetic, no-rules nostalgia. Like feeling motivated to try something new after remembering your favorite summer as a kid. With that in mind I decided to build the song around acoustic guitar, an instrument I’m less familiar with. It forced me to get extra creative with the parts and play up the colorful and fun aspects of the song.”
